Newsletter #9. Two months in, 8,000+ subscribers, and still growing fast. Thank so much for the support, the feedback, the kind words as we keep tweaking to make the newsletter as useful to our readers as possible.

Today we’re covering some local news, we’ve got our first poll, trivia, and of course our ridiculously long list of upcoming events! Let’s get to it…

👨🏼‍🎨 Liverpool’s Independents Biennial is back June 7–Sept 14, scattering 64 artists and 22 new works across 120 spots in Liverpool, Wirral, Sefton, Knowsley, and St Helens. It runs alongside the Liverpool Biennial, but it’s scrappier, weirder, and entirely artist-led.

🎵Smithdown Festival is throwing a massive 10th birthday bash from May 2–5, taking over venues along Smithdown Road and Penny Lane with free live music, DJs, and family-friendly fun—all supporting The Whitechapel Centre.

🥐 The Wild Loaf in Dingle, just snagged the UK's best bakery title from The Good Food Guide. Their sourdough, cakes, croissants, and cinnamon buns have locals queuing up since 2022. Check them out on Instagram.

🎡 The Liverpool Indoor Funfair hits M&S Bank Arena April 8–21, just in time to hype your kids up before the Easter sugar rush.

🇮🇪 Liverpool & Dublin may be getting back together—reviving their 1997 sister city deal. Dublin’s Lord Mayor swung by to talk culture, tourism, and trade, hoping to tighten bonds in a post-Brexit world.
