The 10 Best Restaurants In Liverpool
Welcome to the all-new weekly edition, bringing you the most relevant news to keep up to date with what's happening in Liverpool!
📣 This is exciting! We’re teaming up with Liverpool Noise for a new bonus edition of the newsletter. As a local, you’ve almost definitely stumbled across them before. They’ve been banging the drum for local gigs, food spots, and stories for the best part of a decade.
Think of this new weekly email as your weekly catch-up on what’s happening around the city, while our regular events email keeps you sorted for things to actually do. We hope you enjoy it! But if it’s not your thing, you can tweak your preferences anytime at the bottom of our emails.
TOP STORY
Liverpool’s food scene is overflowing right now. Burgers that drip down your wrist, wood-fired pizzas that vanish too fast, Indian street food that stops you mid-conversation. After eating far too much (and loving every bite), Liverpool Noise pulled together their picks for the city’s 10 best restaurants.
If you think something crucial got left off, reply to this email and say which spot you’d add to the list!
HALLOWEEN
Autumn’s here, Halloween’s creeping up, and it’s officially pumpkin season. Time to grab your jumper, pull on some boots, and head out for a day of pumpkin picking.
Here are eight of the best pumpkin patches near Liverpool, perfect for carving a spooky face or just soaking up the autumn vibes.
SPORTS
Liverpool’s waterfront is getting a new landmark: The Padel Club is bringing a major venue to Brunswick Dock. Expect up to ten courts—five indoors, three outdoors with year-round canopies, plus two for pickleball, set to open in early 2026.
With views of the Mersey, the club will feature a balcony and social hub, aiming to make padel and pickleball accessible to everyone. It’s the latest step in the city’s waterfront regeneration, joining projects like the new Everton Stadium.
CHRISTMAS
The Light Before Christmas is back at Liverpool Cathedral. From 28 November to 6 December, the city’s most iconic landmark will light up with new projections, music, and festive atmosphere.
This is the fourth year of the sold-out tradition, and it’s set to be brighter than ever. Here’s what you need to know…
HALLOWEEN
Liverpool ONE’s Halloween Street Party is back on Sunday 26 October, 11am–5pm, with a full day of spooky fun. Expect roaming characters, zombie dancers, drumming parades, and even a kids’ silent disco.
The highlight: a children’s costume competition on Paradise Street, with a £200 voucher for the winner. Entries open at noon and close at 3pm.
ART
The back room of the Hightown Inn isn’t just a back room anymore. Thanks to a partnership with Smithdown Social Arts Hub, it’s now The Hightown Gallery—a space for local artists to actually show their work.
The first show, By the Water, opened September 25 and brings together 15 artists tied to Hightown and the wider Sefton area. It’s all curated by Smithdown Social Arts Hub, who’ve been on a mission to make art more accessible and to actually put money in artists’ pockets, not just galleries.
