🎉 This year’s BlackFest festival is hosting a ton of events throughout September and October, celebrating Black arts across the region, including music, theatre, film, visual arts, spoken word, and poetry.

🎭 The Shakespeare North Playhouse in Prescot just unveiled its Winter/Spring 2026 programme, ranging from Knowsley Music Festival in November, to a host of theatrical highlights to suit everyone’s taste.

🧑‍🎄 The Light Before Christmas is returning to the Anglican Cathedral. Running 28 Nov-6 Dec, projection artworks will light up the building, while the Cathedral’s cafe serves up a Christmas-inspired menu. Tickets available here.

🎵 Liverpool is one of nine cities hosting BBC Introducing this October, bringing performances, workshops, networking, and masterclasses to spotlight unsigned and emerging artists.

📚 The Reader in Calderstone’s Park has announced its biggest ever Christmas events lineup, from the much-loved Christmas Family Story Trail, to music and poetry under festive lights, and everything in between.

🤩 Yes, it’s a long way off, but Back To The Future The Musical comes to the Liverpool Empire from 12 Jan – 6 Feb 2027. If you want to grab the best seats, now’s the time.

🎄A Christmas Carol is returning for the 23rd time to St George’s Hall from 12–24 Dec. This true-to-book version is guaranteed to bring the atmosphere of Christmas!
